12 Glenesk Crescent

12 Glenesk Crescent , Eskbank

  • Summary: Alterations & Extension to Victorian Villa
  • Location: Eskbank

The project involved removing an unloved existing small kitchen extension and replacing it with a large Kitchen, Dining & Family Room extension. This was integrated with the rear of the property as a large opening was formed between the rear of the property and the extension enabling the spaces to be unified. The unusual form of the room allowed light to be flooded into the space from high level and at the same time maintaining privacy. Large folding sliding doors provided direct access to the rear garden. Slicing a section off the back room of the existing house enabled a Utility Room to be included in the plans. At first floor level a Bathroom was provided by utilising a recess off the rear bedroom giving access to the Bathroom from the Hallway.
